Coyote spotted roaming Beverly Hills neighborhood

A coyote was spotted in an exclusive area Sunday night, roaming the streets of Beverly Hills.

KTLA viewer Donald Barnat was driving home from a grocery store around 11 p.m. when he saw the animal near Gregory Way and South Camden Drive.

The coyote stopped in the front yard of one of the neighborhood’s homes to take a look at Barnat’s vehicle.

The coyote then ran off in an unknown direction.

“There’s coyotes everywhere,” KTLA’s Eric Spillman said, not surprised that one would even pop up in Beverly Hills. “They’re everywhere. They really are.”

In April, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife euthanized a coyote they said was responsible for attacking two children in Carson.

DNA testing confirmed that the coyote that attacked the child was also responsible for another attack on a young child in February.
